Not Ready To Make Nice
Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting
I’m through with doubt
There’s nothing left for me to figure out
I’ve paid a price
And I’ll keep paying
I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should
I know you said
Can’t you just get over it
It turned my whole world around
And I kind of like it
I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don’t mind sayin’
It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over
I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should
I’m not ready to make nice

Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I’m not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I’m still waiting

ήταν άψογη πωωωωωωω πωωωω πώς μπορεί ένα τέλειο φαί να σε ανεβάσει έτσι;

These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.
ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie there.
_______________________________________
ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory?
WITNESS: I forget.
ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot?
_____________________________________
ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?'
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan!
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo?
WITNESS: We both do.
ATTORNEY: Voodoo?
WITNESS: We do.
ATTORNEY: You do?
WITNESS: Yes, voodoo.
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his
sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?
WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam?
____________________________________
ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-one-year-old, how old is he?
WITNESS: Uh, he's twenty-one.
________________________________________
ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken?
WITNESS: Are you kidding me?
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time?
WITNESS: Uh.... I was gett'in laid!
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
WITNESS: Are you kidding? Your Honor, I think I need a different
attorney. Can I get a new attorney?
_____ _________________________________
ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?
WITNESS: Now whose death do you suppose terminated it?
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?
WITNESS: Guess.
_____________________________________
ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a
deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?
WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people. Would you like to rephrase that?
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS: Oral.
______________________________________
ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him!
___________________________________________
ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Huh....are you qualified to ask that question?
______________________________________
--- And the best for last: ---
ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for
a
pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you
began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive,
nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and
practicing law.
ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active?
WITNESS: No, I just lie there.

Disappearing
The day he first told me he was starting to disappear I didn't believe him
& so he stopped & held his hand up to the sun
& it was like thin paper in the light
& finally I said you seem very calm for a man who is disappearing
& he said it was a relief
after all those years
of trying to keep the pieces of his life in one place.
Later on, I went to see him again
& as I was leaving, he put a package in my hand.
This is the last piece of my life, he said,
take good care of it
& then he smiled
& was gone
& the room filled with the sound of the wind
& when I opened the package there was nothing there
& I thought there must be some mistake or maybe I dropped it
& I got down on my hands & knees
& looked until the light began to fade
& then slowly I felt the pieces of my life fall away gently
& suddenly
I understood what he meant
& I lay there for a long time
crying
& laughing at the same time.

σα φωνή σε στέρνα κλειστή;
ποια κραυγή απ΄ τον ουρανό;

The World Itself: When she held out her arms, the world itself wrapped around me & held me tight.
True Things: They came to sit & dangle their feet off the edge of the world & after awhile they forgot everything but the good & true things they would do someday.
Illusion of Control: If you hold on to the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you.
Kindred Spirits: You're the strangest person I ever met, she said & I said you too & we decided we'd know each other a long time.
Life Plan: I asked her what she planned to do with her life & she said she was way beyond that point already. I'm just happy I remember to be there when it happens, she said.
Lost in the Translation: There are some days when no matter what I say it feels like I'm far away in another country & whoever is doing the translating has had far too much to drink
Making Room: When I first met her, I knew in a moment I would have to spend the next few days re-arranging my mind so there'd be room for her to stay.
Is willing to accept that she creates her own reality except for some of the parts where she can't help but wonder what the hell she was thinking
She laid on my chest & her breathing filled me almost to beyond what I could hold.
im on a 30 day diet i ve lost 15 days already
I just ate my willpower
confusion not only reigns, it pours
you know sometimes when you stop to think and you forget to start again?
they sat side by side at the morning light and looked at the future together
the real reason
I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.
There has never been a day when I have not been proud of you, I said, though some days I'm louder about other stuff so it's easy to miss that.
Most people don't know there are angels whose only job is to make sure you don't get too comfortable & fall asleep & miss your life.
Are you a princess? I said & she said I'm much more than a princess, but you don't have a name for it yet here on earth.
I used to have eyes in the back of my head, she said, but I kept throwing my back out & my chiropractor made me stop.
bittersweet
She said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short.
She loved her for almost everything she was & she decided that was enough to let her stay for a very long time.
I was waiting for such a long time, she said. I thought you forgot. It's hard to forget, I said, when there is such an empty space when you are gone.
I used to wait for a sign, she said, before I did anything. Then one night I had a dream & an angel in black tights came to me & said, you can start any time now, & then I asked is this a sign? & the angel started laughing & I woke up. Now, I think the whole world is filled with signs, but if there's no laughter, I know they're not for me.

a very bad translation
i'm pretty, naughty and sweet
very expressive and love to make faces
i like to play taboo, guess which movie and other such games
i speak nicely without hidden messages neither do i understand them
i know how to listen to you and cheer you up
i know how to smile at you and i love to tell you how beautiful you are
i feel how you feel and what your intentions are
i am relaxed and cool
not ashamed for the things i know
or for those i dont know
and i am grateful
open minded
if you like me... i ll probably like you
because you know, it is essential for me to like you... that you like me
i want to tell you what i think of you
and what i want to do to you
i want to speak out my mind
and say sorry instead of thats just me
i expect the same from you
i m not too sensitive nor a snake
you dont need to be afraid of me
of my intentions or my honesty
i talk a lot to myself, we re the best of friends
i love to speak to others hardly come to a close
i hope you are also talkative, warm, funny and that you smell good
you love the whole world
avoid stepping on the slugs on the pavement
you smile wide and laugh out loud
and that my cats will love you
i want to cook sth good for you whic you ll appreciate
let it melt in your mouth while you re melting too
i like gifts and sweet words
when you think of me
when you tell me how beautiful i am when i laugh
and when i do sth well
i want you to caress me, hug, kiss
an miss me
fulfill all my desires coz you cant resist me
accept me with no inhibitions
and love me unconditionally!
enough
enough i say
time to go home
seen a lot
done a lot
learned a lot
loved a lot
laughed a lot
cried a lot
time to go home
time to go home
seen a lot
done a lot
learned a lot
loved a lot
laughed a lot
cried a lot
time to go home
